Privacy Policy
Last updated October 6, 2026
AttorneyPick (attorneypick.com) is operated by The Closer Group ("we", "us"). This policy explains what we collect and how we use it.
What we collect
- What you type. The description of your situation and the city you enter.
- Contact details. Your name, phone number and email when you request a consultation.
- Attorney information. For attorneys who apply or advertise: name, firm, contact details, bar number, profile content, calendar and notification settings, and billing records. Card payments are processed by Stripe; we don't store card numbers.
- Usage data. Basic, privacy-friendly analytics about pages visited, and standard server logs.
How we use it
- To show you general information and attorneys who advertise in your area.
- To send your consultation request, including your description and a short AI-generated summary, to the attorney you choose, and only after you agree.
- To send confirmations and service messages, and to run, secure and improve the site.
AI processing
Your description is processed by an AI service provider (Anthropic) to identify the type of legal matter and write a summary. It is not used to train their models under our agreement with them.
Who we share with
- The attorney you request a consultation with.
- Service providers that run the site for us (hosting, database, email, payments, AI), under confidentiality obligations.
- Authorities when the law requires it.
We don't sell your personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
Confidentiality
AttorneyPick is not a law firm. What you send us is not protected by attorney-client privilege until you form a relationship with an attorney. Don't include sensitive details you wouldn't want shared with the attorney you choose.
Your choices
You can ask us to access, correct or delete your information by emailing hello@attorneypick.com. California and other state residents have these rights by law, and we honor them for everyone. Unsubscribe links are in every marketing email.
Retention and security
We keep consultation requests for up to 3 years and attorney records for as long as the account is active plus 3 years, unless the law requires longer. We use encryption in transit and access controls.
Children
The site is not for anyone under 18.
Changes
We'll post updates here and change the date above.
